The play Girgit revolves around a little boy and a corrupt Police Officer, who changes his colours like a chameleon, every time as the situation changes irrespective of it being right or wrong.
THE UGLY DUCKLING :
An expectant mother is awaiting her eggs to hatch and notices that there is a fifth egg that she never laid. When the eggs hatch she finds out that her fifth is a little different from the other ducklings and that it is quite an ugly one, she begins to worry. The Ugly duckling, being rejected by his own brothers and sisters and by everyone in the community, decides to leave them all and go to a place where he is accepted for what he is. The play is about the Ugly duckling and the journey he embarks on, to find his real identity.
THE MIGHTY JUNGLE :
It's a forest with a set of rules and high principles. Everything goes smooth until one day when the animals of the forest learn that they are going to be homeless within no time. They have to act fast to protect their lands. Do they surrender their forest to the unkind humans or do they fight to keep what rightfully belongs to them? Samahaara Production Oriented Theatre Workshop is for everybody from professionals to students, serious actors to beginners. It is for actors who want to learn more and do more when it comes to acting on stage.
Spread over 2 months (80 hours), start from the essentials of story-development, and move on to focus on the Actor in you by working on all the important aspects of Acting: Body, Voice, Movement, Characterization, Script analysis, etc..
Participants will act in a play at the end of the program.

Spread over 8 weekends (16 sessions), start from essentials of story-development, playwriting, stage-management, design and direction and move on to focus on the Actor in you. Apart from acting, the workshop offers a rich mix of theatre activities, readings, analysis, discussions, & performances.
Learn about theatres evolution to contemporary craft, develop imagination, evaluate material and together bring out a workshop performance at the end of the program.
